As you may be aware, sextortion is currently one of the more significant threats children face online. To help educate the public on this concerning threat and provide guidance on what to do if a child is being sextorted, the Wisconsin Department of Justice has created a video public service announcement (PSA) for use on social media. The PSA features the families of Landen Weigelt and Bradyn Bohn, two Wisconsin teenagers who died by su***de because of sextortion.

I encourage you to share the PSA on your social media channels and in presentations as you see fit, to spread awareness and education throughout Wisconsin communities.

Download the PSA here: https://widoj.sharefile.com/public/share/web-sf7cc48f869c546ce8eb32e8b8c49c91b

If you have any difficulties downloading the video or if you have any questions related to the video, please reach out to DOJ communications: [email protected].

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Thank you to everyone that came out today to make this event another big success! This was the 25th anniversary of Shop with a Hometown Hero and it wouldn't have been possible without all the community donations and hard work of Brenda Al'Gheta and Beth Meyer. The kid's smiles make this one of our favorite events!

Winter Parking starts in 10 DAYS!!
See below for the ordinance, but here is a good way to understand:
On the night of Nov 29th park your car on the even side of the street. Why? Well enforcement starts at 2am on that night (which means it is technically the 30th) So if you do not want a slip on your car park on the even side. Remember to park on the side of the street that follows the date when it is 2am in the morning.

Sec. 70-458. Winter parking.
(a) Seasonal parking restrictions. Alternate side parking is required when parking upon any street in the city between 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. from November 30โ€”March 30, except as provided in subsection (b) of this section. Vehicles must be parked on the side of the street with even house numbers on even dates and odd house numbers on odd dates.
(b) Exceptions.
(1) Upon application to the police department, a temporary parking permit, valid for up to 72 hours, shall be issued to any person for just cause, and shall be valid for a specified location only.
(c) Notice of winter overnight parking restrictions. Signs shall be posted on all highways at the entrance to the city which shall state: "Winter Overnight Parking Restricted. Alternate side parking is required from November 30 โ€“ March 30 from 2:00a.m. to 7:00a.m.."
