Congratulations Girl Scouts Troop 365 for getting your sensory garden project approved for the path around the pond at Stephen Decatur Park. Their garden will have three stations including areas that explore the senses of smell, touch, sight, and sound.

What about the sense of taste? That’s reserved for everyone’s favorite time of year, Girl Scouts cookie season!

What an honor it was to host the annual Maryland State Firefighters Association (MSFA) parade in the Town of Berlin. It was great to see thousands of people from all over the state enjoying the Town of Berlin Main Street & Arts and Entertainment District and exploring everything our town has to offer.

Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make the day a success. A huge thank you to the MSFA for entrusting Berlin with this event. I hope this becomes a tradition in town for many years to come.

Today is a big day for the Town of Berlin as we host the Maryland State Firefighters Association Touch-A-Truck this morning and parade this afternoon.

The fire service has played a huge role in shaping me. My father (pictured here with me), a Gold Badge member, has been with the Berlin Fire Company since the 1980s. I grew up understanding the importance of giving back to our community through public service at a very young age.

In a time when volunteerism is down, I encourage everyone in Berlin to give back. Whether that is through becoming a volunteer firefighter or something else, find something you're passionate about, and give back to our community.

After a two-year hiatus navigating life with a new little member of our family…I am back Maryland Municipal League (MML)!

This afternoon, I was elected as a member of the MML Board of Directors. MML plays a key role in advocating for the 157 incorporated cities and towns across the state of Maryland. I look forward to a year of being a voice for not only the Town of Berlin but the over 2 million constituents who call Maryland’s municipalities home.

Rub a dub dub, two Tyndall boys in the Town of Berlin tub. The 36th annual Berlin Bathtub races were a scorcher but how about that photo finish Pohanka!

That's right, the town’s bathtub is back in working order thanks to our Public Works team. A huge thank you to the ladies at Town Hall for their excellent decorating skills. Watch out Berlin, this tub may actually find its way back into the races next year.

Today, our family got to experience an amazing visit to NASA's Wallops Flight Facility for a tour of the planes participating in the OC Air Show. Thank you Wallops Flight Facility team for your hospitality. Hands down one of the coolest memories was being able to visit with flight demo teams from all over the United States and France including the Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Air Force F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team, and Patrouille de France.
