A great stop was made by these firemen and our engine operator!
2/28/26- At 12:25am Berkshire Fire was dispatched to structure fire. Upon arrival a supply line was laid into the scene and an attack line was stretched into the home. Firefighters were encountered with a well involved room and contents fire. A quick knockdown and check for extension got the fire under control quickly. This fire had the potential to spread rapidly not only within the home but to a nearby garage.
We thank Maine EMS, our dispatchers, and a special thank you to Newark Valley Fire not only for the mutual aid, but for the opportunity to have our members train almost weekly with you. Training matters and it has been shown here today.
