Today, we honor Juneteenthโ€”a day reflecting on freedom, history, and the vital contributions of the Black community.

As we celebrate, itโ€™s a great opportunity to consciously support Black-owned businesses, connect with Black art and culture, and keep working toward a more inclusive community here in Berkley. ๐Ÿ’›

Welcome to the Berkley Budget Breakdown! This series focuses on highlights from the upcoming 2026-2027 Council Adopted Budget, which will go into affect on July 1.

Revenue Trend
Hereโ€™s an overview of our Total Revenue since the 2021 Fiscal Year. Although most of our revenue comes from property taxes, other contributors like state grants, rentals, permit, and license charges all help create additional revenue for the City. Despite our revenue increasing with inflation over time, costs are beginning to outpace the gradual increase in revenue.

DPW is working on repairing a water main break on Bacon between Beverly and 12 Mile on June 18. There is no boil advisory, but water service disruptions are expected in the area for the duration of the repair (6 to 8 hours).

If you experience discolored water, please run cold water from the lowest tap in your home until itโ€™s clear.

Thank you for your patience as Public Works makes these fixes!
