Earlier in the night we got a call about a bunch of kids running around the neighborhood unsupervised. We responded and found that the kids were playing football and grandma was present. We played catch with the kids and they got to check out some of our cool police gear. These kids were so much fun that we just had to pass out a few teddy bears to them and the kids loved them! 😀

We would like to thank the Berkeley Albanian-American Islamic Center for donating a large amount of new teddy bears to the police department this week. The goal is to have the officers hand the teddy bears out to kids in the community and make a positive impact with them at an early age. We will keep everyone posted on this new effort. 👮‍♀️😀

The first Pokemon League was a great success. Kids and families from all over the western suburbs attended to play. We had a nice surprise today when we were called over to Sunnyside Elementary School and given home baked cookies and thank you cards from the 5th grade student council for our services. These types of positive experiences within the community remind us officers why we sign up to do the job! Thank you Sunnyside student council & staff for the love today! 👮‍♀️😃
