The Nurses Honor Guard is to honor the life of an active or retired nurse, RN or LPN, who has passed from this life to the next with a small ceremony during their funeral service/celebration of life as a well deserved final tribute.

We had the honor and privilege to pay tribute to Mrs Faith Rochelle Ruble. Our love and condolences go out to her friends and family. May her spirit live through your cherished memories.

Faith passed away Saturday 3/28/2026. She retired from Valley Health Wi******er Medical Center in late 2024 after 30 years of service as a RN to the pulmonary med-surg and inpatient rehab units. Prior to that, she worked throughout Martinsburg and the Eastern Panhandle, and was a resident of South Berkeley County. More than just on the job, she was a caregiver and selfless servant to the community.

Wilma Parsell , April McCoy (Eric ) and myself started the first WV chapter of the National Nurses Honor Guard when our friend and coworker passed away. It was our absolute Honor to pay tribute to Terry Lee Twigg at her memorial service. Terry was an amazing person with a compassionate heart and gentle spirit. Though she is greatly missed, her time on earth made such an impact on everyone she met...personally and professionally. Thank you to her family for allowing us to Honor her!

This is open to any RN or LPN, active or retired, who would like to join. It is completely voluntary. The service we provide is free. The only cost would be for a white uniform and shoes. Cap and cape are also part of the attire which we hope to be able to provide.
