This has truly been a grassroots campaign in Benton County from the minute that I announced that I was running for county Judge six months ago.

This campaign, as well as the result of tonight, belongs to the many friends, volunteers, and supporters who prayed with us, knocked doors, made calls, and believed in our shared vision for our community.
To my incredible wife, Ragen, and our kids, thank you for your sacrifice, your patience, and your dedicated support. I could not have done this without you. This has truly been a family effort, and we are deeply grateful.
Together, we’ve built a team committed to keeping Benton County the best place to live, work, and raise a family. Thank you to the voters of Benton County who placed your trust in our campaign.
Now as polls close for the final time, as I waive my final sign of the campaign, I praise God yet again.
I praise the Lord for the opportunity to live in a place to not only have the freedom to vote, but run a race for the chance to serve the community that raised me.

I am so thankful for the endorsements from Justices of the Peace from across all of Benton County. Every Justice on the Quorum Court that is not running against me, is endorsing me for Judge.
Though sometimes what can be more meaningful than the “who”, is the “why”.
Here is what 14 of 15 of the sitting JPs are saying … and more! (incoming, and outgoing) Excited to work with them all!

My opponent admits to breaking the law. Full story here, and some quotes below about her ethics violation… “Smith did not file the report due Feb. 20.”
“Smith, when contacted by the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, acknowledged the mistake.”
“It's the first time she's missed a deadline on a financial report…”
“Smith… has also run unsuccessful campaigns for Rogers mayor in 2016 and Rogers City Council in 2012 and 2014.”

BENTONVILLE -- Austin McCollum has spent more than twice what his opponent, Carrie Perrien Smith, has spent in the race for the Republican nomination for Benton County judge since Jan. 1, according to campaign finance forms filed this week.

“Voters deserve transparency throughout a campaign. I will continue to be transparent in my campaign finance reporting, even if my opponent continues to break the law by hiding their funding from the public” McCollum said. “The office of County Judge serves as the chief executive of county government, overseeing budgets, contracts, and critical compliance responsibilities. Meeting statutory deadlines and maintaining financial transparency are foundational responsibilities for anyone seeking that role.
Candidates may disagree on many policy issues during a campaign, but following the rule of law on transparency is non-negotiable.”

Thank you Attorney General Tim Griffin for your enthusiastic endorsement to me for Benton County Judge. With Arkansas’ second largest county experiencing record growth, we need principled leadership to set us up for success for generations to come.
