Recently, Girls Who Hike Virginia, adopted our Bluebell Trail. Each month, their volunteers help care for the trail to ensure it remains safe, beautiful and enjoyable for years to come.

We’re currently looking for additional groups or individuals interested in adopting a trail as part of our Adopt-A-Trail program.

Trail adopters commit to completing at least four hours of trail work each month, which may include:

🌳 Picking up trash and debris
🌳 Reporting fallen trees to designated staff
🌳 Clearing brush from the trail corridor
🌳 Repairing damaged trail tread
🌳 Removing small berms to improve drainage
🌳 Removing invasive species (with proper training)
🌳 Reporting trail damage, erosion or hazards beyond their ability to correct

Trail adoption is a great way to give back, protect our natural spaces and make a lasting impact on the community.

If you or your group are interested in adopting a trail, please contact Megan Goin at [email protected].
