🐾 CONGRATULATIONS, DEPUTY YATES & K9 STORM! 🐾
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is proud to congratulate Deputy Chris Yates and K9 Storm on successfully completing Basic K9 Handler School! 🎓🐕‍🦺

For the past five weeks, Deputy Yates and K9 Storm have trained side-by-side, learning how to work together as a team and building the trust, communication, and skills necessary for successful K9 deployments.

Throughout the course, Deputy Yates received instruction in areas including K9 case law, documentation, certification preparation, deployments, report writing, and practical K9 handling. The goal is to prepare handlers and their K9 partners for the situations they may encounter while serving their communities.

We are excited to welcome Deputy Yates and K9 Storm back and look forward to seeing everything this new team will accomplish together. Congratulations on five weeks of hard work and dedication! 💙🐾

We would also like to extend a special thank you to JRM Ready Mix for supporting our K9 program by generously donating the supplies and building K9 Storm’s new house and pen. Your support of our agency and K9 team is greatly appreciated!

William was last seen on September 9, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m. in the area of the 21000 block of Highway 5 in Owensville.

Description:
• White male
• 5'11" tall
• Approximately 150 pounds
Unknown clothing description; now bald.

It’s Fair Week in Saline County! The Saline County Sheriff’s Office is excited to be part of all the fun at the 2026 Saline County Fair & Rodeo, September 8–12!

There’s something for everyone—livestock shows, the petting zoo, carnival rides, great food, rodeo action, and plenty of family fun! 🐴🐮🐷🎠🌭

👮‍♂️ Be sure to stop by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office booth and say hello! We’ll be out at the fair throughout the week visiting with our community and helping make sure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.

Keeping Labor Day Safe on Lake Balboa! 🚤👮‍♂️

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Hot Springs Village Police Department, joined forces on Lake Balboa to patrol the area and help keep everyone celebrating the Labor Day holiday safe.

Whether on the road or on the water, our goal is the same ~ keeping our communities safe while everyone enjoys the holiday!

We appreciate everyone who celebrated responsibly, watched out for one another, and helped make it a safe Labor Day on the lake.

☀️🍋 When life gives you a hot Arkansas day… find a lemonade stand! 🍋☀️

Our Patrol Deputies were out serving Saline County in the heat when they came across the perfect reason to make a quick stop—some ice-cold, freshly made lemonade! 🥤

There’s nothing better than seeing our deputies take a few minutes to visit with some of the young entrepreneurs in our community. Judging by the smiles, we’d say the lemonade was a hit! 💛

Thank you for keeping our deputies cool and hydrated—and for making their day a little sweeter! 🍋👮‍♂️
