🔨 IT’S APOSTLES BUILD WEEK
This week, churches from across Saline County are coming together with one mission—to build hope.

Apostles Build is about much more than the volunteers you see swinging hammers. It takes financial support to purchase lumber, concrete, roofing, windows, plumbing, electrical supplies and all the materials needed to turn an empty lot into an affordable home for a local family.

We need more churches beside us.

Whether your church can give, sponsor building materials, bring a volunteer team, provide a meal, pray, or simply help us share the mission—there is a place for you. No church is too big or too small to make an impact.

As building costs continue to rise, growing our church partnerships is more important than ever for the future of APOSTLES BUILD. Our mission takes all of us.

Our Apostles Build brings local churches together to put faith into action and help build an affordable home for a local family. And there’s room for YOUR church at the table!

We’re looking for more churches to join our Church Relations Committee and help us grow this ministry throughout Saline County.

Churches can get involved by joining the committee, donating toward building materials, scheduling a group build day, providing lunch for volunteers, or simply helping us spread the word. Every church can play a part—big or small.

September is National Preparedness Month, a reminder that preparing today can help protect the people and places we care about tomorrow.

At Habitat for Humanity of Saline County, we believe that safe, stable housing is the foundation for strong families and resilient communities. Taking a few simple steps to prepare your home can make a big difference in the event of an unexpected emergency.

Consider adding these essentials to your preparedness checklist:
🔹Keep an emergency kit stocked with food, water, medications, and flashlights.
🔹Store important documents in a safe, easily accessible location.
🔹Create a family communication plan in case of severe weather or other emergencies.
🔹Check batteries in smoke detectors and replace them as needed.

A prepared home is a safer home, and together we can help build stronger communities throughout Saline County.

Happy Labor Day everyone! If you are planning to come to bingo on Thursday just want to let you all know parking will be limited due to the church redoing the parking lot. We will have a shuttle running back and forth before and after bingo to the First Methodist parking lot on Sevier St. The shuttle will start at 5:45. Can’t wait to see you all there. We still have a few game sponsor spots left.
