What does the Saline County Communications Director do? No two days are exactly alike!
The Saline County Judge’s Office is looking for a creative and motivated communicator to help keep our citizens informed while telling the story of Saline County — from the work of county government to the people, places, events and moments that make our community such a special place to call home.
Some of the essential duties and responsibilities include:
• Drafting news releases, media advisories, official statements and responses to media inquiries
• Taking photos and videos at community events, county projects, ribbon cuttings, ceremonies and other activities
• Creating graphics and content for social media, websites, billboards, digital signage and other platforms
• Producing and editing videos highlighting county programs, projects, events and services
• Managing Saline County social media accounts and developing engaging digital content
• Maintaining and updating content on the Saline County website
• Representing Saline County and staffing the county booth at community events, job fairs and other activities
• Assisting with livestream broadcasts of public meetings and other events
• Working with the County Judge, elected officials, county departments, media outlets and community partners to communicate important information to the public
This position combines public relations, writing, photography, videography, graphic design, social media, event coordination and public service — all with the opportunity to help showcase the community we’re proud to call home.
Salary: Up to $73,120
Benefits include employer-paid health, dental and life insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, 12 paid holidays, and a 15.32% county retirement contribution.
