UPDATE: Due to the lack of registrations, the certification workshop this week in Grand Cane has been cancelled. An upcoming workshop in Florien May 13 to 15, 2026 will be the last planned workshop this spring.

** The recertification training on April 17th at 1 PM has NOT BEEN CANCELLED***

The drying trend will continue through at least the end of the month across the Four State Region. Thus, the wildfire threat will increase as well. Look for additional counties and parishes to be added to this Burn Ban map through the end of the month.

🚨🌲 URGENT COMMUNITY UPDATE 🌲🚨

5:35pm UPDATE: Highway 34 is now open. Please use extreme caution when traveling this Highway as there is still heavy smoke as well as emergency crews are still on the sides of Highway 34 . The fire is 80% contained as of 5:45pm.

Our hearts are with our neighbors in the Sikes Community and Dodson Community as a forest fire is actively impacting the area.
