🚒 AUGUST MONTHLY TRAINING: PUMP & HOSE OPERATIONS 🚒

During last month’s training, our Blanchard Township Fire Department volunteer firefighters focused on water pump and hose operations. Our members practiced engaging the pump, establishing water flow, handling hose lines, and working together as a team to effectively deliver water where it’s needed most.

These hands-on training sessions help our firefighters build confidence, sharpen their skills, and stay prepared to respond safely and effectively when our community needs us.

Community, Fun & a Whole Lot of Water! 💦🚒

What a fun way to wrap up the summer! ☀️

This past weekend, Good Shepherd Church of Benton Ridge invited the Blanchard Township Fire Department to join them at the Village Park for Summer’s Last Blast — and we were happy to bring the water! 💦

Our firefighters had a great time helping keep the BIG slip-and-slide nice and wet while kids and families enjoyed an afternoon of fun, laughter, and community fellowship.

We love opportunities like this to get outside the station, connect with our community, and be part of events that bring everyone together. ❤️

A big THANK YOU to Good Shepherd Church for inviting us and for putting together such a great community event!

📢Today, the Blanchard Township Fire Department proudly recognizes and celebrates an incredible milestone.📢

After 48 years of dedicated volunteer service (WOW‼️)we extend our deepest gratitude to one of our own as he retires from the department. Robert Crawford!

Over the past four decades, Bob has served in multiple roles, always answering the call with dedication, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to our department and the community we proudly serve. His leadership, experience, and willingness to help wherever needed has left a lasting mark on our members and on countless lives throughout Blanchard Township.

On behalf of the entire Blanchard Township Fire Department and the community we serve, thank you for your selfless service, countless sacrifices, and unwavering dedication. Your legacy will continue to inspire future generations of firefighters.🥇

Thank you to those who came out and helped with Truck Checks at the fire department last week!

Truck checks are one of the most important things our volunteer firefighters do behind the scenes to ensure we're ready when our community needs us. Every compartment, every tool, and every piece of equipment is inspected to make sure it's in working order and ready to respond at a moment's notice.

Our volunteers spent time inspecting and organizing essential equipment, including:
🚒 Emergency maps and guidebooks
🔦 Flashlights, batteries, tools
🧰 General truck maintenance
💧 Pumps, hoses, and water supply
🩹 First aid kits, AEDs, LifeVac devices, oxygen, and masks
🧯 Fire extinguishers
🚧 Road flares and wheel chocks
🪜 Ladders
🌊 Water rescue equipment
💡 Emergency lighting and truck lights
…and so much more.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for taking the time to ensure every truck is prepared for whatever emergency comes next. Your commitment and attention to detail make all the difference.
