Congratulations to Market One on a wonderful Annual Meeting last night at Magnolia Farms in Cassopolis! What a beautiful setting for an evening that truly celebrated the strength of economic and community development across Van Buren and Cass Counties.

A big congratulations to all of this year's award winners, and to Molly McFadden on her well-deserved promotion to Director of Community Development.

We also want to recognize a meaningful moment from the evening: a tribute to interim Executive Director Dan Peat's father, Randy Peat, who recently passed away. In his honor, Market One's signature award will be renamed the Randall Peat Award, presented each year to an instrumental figure in the Market One community. A fitting and lasting way to carry his legacy forward.

Cheers to Market One, and congratulations again to all involved. It was a great evening, with Marla, Greg, and Chrissy proud to represent Cornerstone Alliance!

Last week, Lily represented Cornerstone Alliance at Intern Connect 2026 in Grand Rapids, spending the day learning alongside interns and professionals from across Michigan.

Highlights included a fireside chat featuring Ferris State University President Dr. Bill Pink and Scott Ayotte, J.D., as well as a Networking 101 session led by Steve Zaagman and Celeste Ross. Pictured here with Dr. TaRita Johnson, Senior Vice President of Talent and Diversity at The Right Place, and Karen George, Program Manager at Hello West Michigan, Lily had the opportunity to connect with leaders who are helping shape talent attraction and workforce development efforts across the state.

It was a great opportunity to gain new perspectives, make connections, and learn from professionals across Michigan!
