The Benton Harbor High School Class of 2026 is an incredible group of students with bright futures ahead of them. Today, we recognize Carlton Burrel, valedictorian. Throughout his time in our district, Carlton has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, not only in the classroom but as a leader and peer within our school community.
Carlton will attend Western Michigan University in the fall, with plans to major in engineering. We wish him luck and look forward to seeing the impact he will continue to make as he embarks on his next chapter.

While school might be out, we are glad to inform that the Student Health Center is open all summer! Their summer hours start June 11 and are as follows:
Monday-Wednesday 8:00am-5:00pm
Thursday from 10:00am-7:00pm
Friday 8:00am-12:00pm

Students/parents are encouraged to get their 2026/2027 sports physicals now. Those that complete them between now and August 1st will be entered into a raffle! Call 2696051277 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcome.

At Benton Harbor Area Schools, we believe that a peaceful school environment begins with the commitment of our students. We are proud to highlight Peace4Life, a student-led movement dedicated to fostering nonviolence, mutual respect and community responsibility within our halls and neighborhoods. These young advocates are proving that when we commit to the Peace4Life pledge, we create a stronger, safer and more unified Benton Harbor.

Today, June 3, is recognized as the Day of Peace, where we ask our students to take the Peace Pledge and we invite our families and community partners to support this mission. Together, we can ensure that 'Peace Over Everything' remains a daily reality for every Tiger.

Tuesday, June 2nd is an Early Release Day. All schools will follow an early dismissal schedule.
Wednesday, June 3rd is the Last Day of School and will also be an early release day. We congratulate our students on all their accomplishments this year!
