Benson Vol Fire Department Inc. The Official page for The Benson Volunteer Fire Department. The Benson Fire Department is a full
spectrum lifesaving service.

The history of the Benson Fire Department is one of the most unique and inspiring in Arizona fire service history. Although the City of Benson was founded in 1880, the Benson Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1907 five years before Arizona became a State. An all-volunteer department for nearly a Century, the Firefighters
responded with a two wheel hose cart and a horse drawn wagon during the early days of
the department. Today, we are a combination department with a full time Chief and 20 Firefighters along with state of the art firefighting apparatus. The department responds to calls for Structure Fires, Brush
Fires, Motor Vehicle Accidents, Hazardous Materials incidents and Emergency Medical
Service Calls along with many other calls for service.

🚒❤️ Welcome to the Fleet, Rescue 71! 💙🚒

Today was a special day as we officially welcomed Rescue 71 into service with a traditional fire service push-in ceremony!

The push-in ceremony honors a tradition dating back to the days of horse-drawn fire apparatus, when firefighters would return from a call and push their equipment back into the station by hand. Today, the tradition continues as a symbol of teamwork, pride, and commitment to service.

Rescue 71 represents an investment in the safety of our community and in our continued ability to provide dependable emergency services when they are needed most.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for today’s ceremony and to our community for the continued support that makes moments like this possible.

❤️💙 Welcome home, Rescue 71. Ready to serve our community for years to come! 🚑🚒
