Engine 88 had a busy 24 hours with two fires in Trevose. Last night, they arrived 3rd due on Reading Ave, battling heavy fire in the walls and attic. Today, E88 stretched a line on Brownsville Road, but defensive operations were necessary due to deteriorating conditions. Squrt 44 also made the response in service with the boom. Both fires are under investigation by BTFMO

On 12/23/2025 E44 was dispatched to Box 14-92 for a nursing home fire after an explosion in Bristol Township on a second alarm assignment. Upon arrival, E44 reversed laid from Squrt 13 to the next available hydrant for water supply. E44 assisted several first-in companies with removing victims from the building. The crew was in service for several hours.

We will be escorting Santa around the area this Saturday, December 13, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a timeframe for each neighborhood this year.

However, we will be starting off in the Glen Ashton Farms neighborhood (44017), making our way north through each of the highlighted areas shown in the maps below.

This evening just before 6pm Engine 88 and township companies to the 400 block of Brister Rd in station 65s first due. E88 arrived as the 2nd due engine securing E65’s water supply and stretching a second line to a walk out basement entrance. Crews were in service just under 2 hours.

09/13/2025

This afternoon SQ44 responded on the working fire dispatch in the 13-3 local for a dwelling fire. SQ44 arrived as the RIT team and was put to work on the 2nd floor. Crews had heavy fire conditions in the attic and knee walls. SQ44 was in service for an hour and a half before returning to service.

09/07/2025

E88 and SQ44 responded on box 65-17 for a working fire in a church. The engines took the 3rd and 4th due engine assignments and completed various tasks on the fire ground. Crews were in service just under 2 hours.

08/16/2025

This morning just before 11am E88 and mutual aid companies were dispatched to the 3000 block of Claridge Road for a reported house fire. E88 dropped in, stretched, and reported a dryer fire with minor extension. The assignment was scaled back to 88, 16, and TW8. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the BTFMO.

08/08/2025

This morning, just after 5 am, SQ44 was dispatched to the 11-36 box for a house fire. Upon arrival, the first crews found an automobile on fire, extending into the house. SQ44 arrived and went into service. Crews proceeded to operate in the basement, opening up the second and third floors to extinguish the fire. SQ44 returned to quarters just after 7 am.
