It’s always a special experience when someone you actually helped comes back to visit. Today Gianna a patient who was treated by our Mobile Stroke Unit stopped by to meet the crews. She was quickly scanned, diagnosed, and given thrombolytics in the back of the ambulance. Her symptoms began to resolve. Gianna was 21 years old at the time. Stroke can happen to anyone and Bensalem is glad to partner with Jefferson to bring world class care to our communities.

A big Thank You!! To Bensalem Department of Public Safety for sending lunch over to our staff today in appreciation of EMS week.

Crews got busy around lunch time so we couldn’t get a good group pick but we can assure you this was enjoyed in between runs.

Congratulations to our own Rick Bossert for winning the John Billington VFW Post EMT of the year award. Rick was our first full time paramedic. Rick continued on the become a Fire Service Paramedic for Philadelphia Fire Department and retired at the Rank of Deputy Chief. He now teaches our EMT classes at the Squad.
