6/8/2026 City Council Meeting Highlights:

✅ Approved the Final Plat for Morgan Ridge Replat 3, a medium-density residential development located south of Kempten Creek Drive and north of Bennington Boulevard.
✅ Approved an extension of the Interlocal Agreement with the City of Omaha for the Keno Satellite location in Bennington.

✅ Approved preparation of bidding documents for Neumeyer Farm Phase 2, pending final environmental approval. The project is anticipated to go out for bid later this summer and includes:
• Additional soccer fields
• New walking paths
• Expanded parking areas
• Tree plantings
• Other site improvements

✅ Storm sewer repairs in Bennington Park West have been completed.
👏 The Council recognized and thanked our Public Works Department and Bennington Police Department for their outstanding work and support during Bennington Daze.
📚 The Summer Reading Program at the library is off to a fantastic start, with more than 1,000 children already registered!
🚧 Sewer lining projects throughout the community are expected to begin this summer and be completed by August, helping improve the longevity and reliability of our sewer infrastructure.

🚧 As a reminder our Bennington Rd. bridge is now closed for repairs. Please plan accordingly.

👏 Congratulations to Brodie and Olivia Wakefield, recipients of our May Yard of the Month award! Thank you for your efforts in keeping our community vibrant and welcoming.

🚧 Road Closure Notice – Bennington Road Bridge Approach Repairs 🚧

Beginning today, barricades will be installed as work starts on bridge approach repairs along Bennington Road, just south of Johns-Bohn Park and west of 156th Street.

The roadway is anticipated to be closed from now through the end of July, weather permitting. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use alternate routes during the construction period.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as these improvements are completed to help maintain safe and reliable infrastructure for our community.

Nothing like ending Friday evening with a bang! 🎆 The fireworks were a huge crowd-pleaser and the perfect finale to an amazing day at Bennington Daze. Thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate!

The parade is fantastic, the Bennington Farmers Market was bustling with vendors and visitors, and it has been wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate all that makes Bennington special.
