76th Annual Banquet 🚒🚑

The Benedict Volunteer Fire Department, Rescue Squad, and Auxiliary, Inc. held its 76th Annual Banquet yesterday evening, celebrating the dedication, service, and accomplishments of our members.

We were proud to recognize two members for their remarkable commitment to the department and our community:

🏅 William “Bill” Henderson — honored with his 50 Years of Service Award.

🏅 Donald “Smitty” Smith — recognized for more than 90 years of age and continued service to the department. Smitty celebrated his 94th birthday this year and still comes around the station to lend a hand and support his fellow volunteers. His dedication is truly an inspiration to us all.

We also recognized our Top Five Fire Responders and Top Five EMS Responders for their outstanding commitment and dedication throughout the year.

🏆 Barney O’Quinn — EMS Person of the Year

🏆 Kim Hutchins — President’s Award

Congratulations to all of our award recipients, and thank you to every member who continues to volunteer their time, skills, and energy to serve our community.

A special thank you to the Waldorf Jaycees for hosting us and helping make the evening a success. We also appreciate everyone who attended the banquet and, most importantly, everyone in our community who continues to support the Benedict Volunteer Fire Department, Rescue Squad, and Auxiliary.
