1-82 CAV Soldiers are observed fighting fires in support of overwhelmed fire crews this summer. A huge shout out to Danner Boot Manufacturing for donating several pairs of socks to these Soldiers as they work to protect Oregon’s communities!

The Regimental Association in conjunction with the Family Readiness Group is hosting a Camp Out/BBQ event at BIAK Training Center on June 26th, and you're invited! Come share memories over a campfire with a free meal and live band as we celebrate 1-82 CAV's final day of annual training. Tent and trailer camping are available at no cost the night of June 26th. 1-82 CAV unit’s celebrated the holidays with families at their respective Christmas parties last weekend. Many Soldiers and civilians were recognized for their accomplishments as an expression of gratitude for their dedicated service to the this organization. We want to thank 1-82 CAV families for the unwavering support, and we wish you the best during this holiday season.

Soldiers from 1-82 CAV continue to train hard on their individual weapons to include M4 rifle and M320 qualification and M17 pistol completion! Aviation personnel from 2-641 AVN BN also conducted hands on MEDEVAC training while integrating a Guard for a Day interested in becoming a medic.

The Adjutant General of Oregon, MG Michael Stencel visited 1-82 CAV at Camp Rilea to observe training and recognize Soldiers for their accomplishments!

MG Stencel promoted 1-82 CAV’s newest medic, PFC Olson. Among other Soldiers recognized, SGT Torgerson (1-82 CAV Assistant S1) was given a TAG coin for her excellent performance while maintaining a 3.75 GPA in her Masters of Forensic Psychology degree. Many Soldiers are balancing extra responsibilities on top of their military duties and it is important for them to be recognized for their dedication, thank you for your hard work.
