Belvue Township Fire Department is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Grain Bin Rescue Tube through a grant program sponsored by the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS) and Nationwide. As part of this award, our department also has the opportunity to host a Grain Bin Rescue Training Course.

This training is open to area fire, EMS, emergency management, and public safety personnel. Space may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.

🚨 Roadway Safety Alert 🚨

Pottawatomie County has received significant rainfall this evening, resulting in water flowing over numerous roadways throughout the county.

If you do not need to travel tonight, please stay home and allow the water to recede. Never attempt to drive through flooded roadways. Even shallow water can hide road damage, washouts, or create dangerous driving conditions.

Please use caution, slow down, and respect any road closures or barricades that may be in place.

We appreciate the efforts of the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office and all public safety personnel who are monitoring conditions throughout the county.

Stay safe and remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

We would like to thank the City of Wamego Fire Department for allowing us to participate in joint company training this evening. A special thank you to Anthony Womack for leading an excellent training session focused on hose and nozzle operations.

Belvue Township Fire Department had four personnel in attendance, along with Engine 551. Opportunities like this strengthen our partnerships, improve interoperability, and help ensure we are prepared to work together effectively when our communities need us most.
