More than 300 business leaders, community partners, elected officials, investors, and friends joined us Wednesday night for the 2026 Growth Dimensions Annual Reception, and we are incredibly grateful.

This year’s theme, The Story Behind Growth, was a reminder that economic development is about so much more than projects, buildings, and numbers. It’s about the people, partnerships, and moments that move our community forward.

A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Robert Lieske of Walmart Distribution Center, for sharing his story and perspective with our guests, and to every sponsor, investor, partner, volunteer, and attendee who helped make this evening possible.

As the Walmart Distribution Center continues to prepare for operations, hiring efforts are ramping up and new career opportunities are becoming available for our regional workforce.

Walmart has launched a dedicated page for the Belvidere DC where you can follow their progress, learn about opportunities, and connect directly to current job openings.
