Our CTRW Celebrating America Honoree is Shay Luedeke, Bell County Tax Assessor-Collector.
Shay has been on a journey in public service since January 2017. However, before taking on this pivotal role, Shay honed his skills and leadership acumen over two decades in the private sector. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to achieve remarkable success while guiding teams within small and medium-sized businesses.
Shay boasts a diverse skill set that encompasses financial analysis, adept reporting, budget management, online data security, process automation, team development, and effective training strategies.
Committed to revitalizing the Office of Tax Assessor-Collector, Shay is on a mission to infuse fresh vigor and innovative ideas. His dedication knows no bounds as he leverages his expertise, unbridled enthusiasm, and unwavering determination to positively impact the lives of Bell County’s residents. His primary focus areas revolve around streamlining processes, enhancing operational efficiency, fostering a culture of teamwork, and providing unparalleled customer service.
Shay proudly holds the title of a Texas A&M University alumnus and remains actively engaged with The Association of Former Students. He’s a fervent advocate for higher education and takes pleasure in supporting his alma mater. You’ll often find him at football games in College Station.
In the spirit of servant leadership and guided by a deep faith in God, Shay extends his personal commitment to his family, church, and the local community. Beyond his professional responsibilities, he finds solace in hunting and outdoor pursuits, often accompanied by his wife, Laura Golden-Luedeke, and their two exceptional children.
