Last week Belton crews spent the day conducting live fire training exercises. Live burns provide firefighters with hands-on experience in fire behavior, search and rescue, ventilation, hose deployment, and coordinated fire attack. Training like this helps prepare our firefighters to respond safely, effectively, and confidently when real emergencies happen in our community.

In January 2024, four year old Remi Wissinger, daughter of Alyssa and FF/Medic LJ Wissinger, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Yesterday, friends, family and Belton firefighters came together for a moment we’ve all been hoping and praying forβ€”Remi RANG THE BELL! After a long and difficult journey with leukemia, she is now cancer free ❀

This little warrior has shown incredible strength, and her family has faced every challenge with courage and love. Thank you to everyone who supported them along the way β€πŸš’πŸ”₯
