It’s that time of year again for the Bell County Committee for People for Disabilities Annual Rusty Awards! Rusty Morales was the son of Judy Morales, our Committee Treasurer. Each year we celebrate him with the annual Rusty Awards. Rusty acquired his disability from a motorcycle accident. His new disability did not stop him. He along with Judy strived to make changes in the City of Temple to include better accessibility downtown and the creation of the Temple Mayor’s Committee, today known as the Bell County Committee for People with Disabilities. The Rusty Awards are a celebration of individuals with disabilities doing great things in and for our Bell County Community and people serving the needs of individuals with disabilities in Bell County. Please visit www.bccpdtx.gov to read Rusty’s story, purchase tickets for the Rusty Awards, and nominate someone for a Rusty Award.
