This week, The Belpre Police Department is celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.
Telecommunicators Week, celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the country's citizens.
The Belpre Police Department Dispatch Center serves as the primary hub for both emergency and non-emergency police, fire, and EMS calls for the City of Belpre, and provides dispatch services for Belpre PD, Belpre Volunteer Fire Department, City of Belpre EMS, and the Barlow Volunteer Fire Department.
This week, we proudly recognize and extend our appreciation to the dedicated professionals in this field, especially the outstanding telecommunicators at Belpre PD. Their work demands exceptional focus, the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once, strong decision-making, and sound judgment under pressure.
