Book sale - coming up this month!!📖

The Book Sale is Back! Join the Friends of the Belmont Public Library this month for our first book sale in the new library!
Browse used books in Morrissey Hall, the Everyday Book Store, and the Donation Room, and find your next great read! We have fiction, nonfiction, memoirs, children's books, world language books, sheet music, art books, and more.

📦 We'd love your used books! When the library is open, bring your donations through the Book Processing door at the side entrance off the parking lot, and place them in the large black bin inside the room. The last drop-off before the sale is Thursday, Sept. 24. We will resume collecting donations on Monday, Sept. 28. Proceeds from book donations fund vital library programs.

🗳 Inside the Town Hall Auditorium this morning: residents, campaign teams, and election officials gathered to observe the hand count of ballots from the Sept. 1 election. The count is part of a district recount spanning Belmont, Watertown, and portions of Boston and Cambridge.

📢 TOWN CLERK’S OFFICE CLOSURE: SEPT. 9 & 10

🗳️The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed to the public on Wednesday, Sept. 9, and Thursday, Sept. 10, to perform the state-ordered recount for the State Senate Democratic Primary.

Staff will be focused entirely on recount proceedings. Inquiries will be addressed upon reopening and may be sent via email to [email protected] and by phone message to 617-993-2603.

✔️Regular office hours will resume Friday, September 11, at 8:00 AM.
