We are pleased to welcome the newest member of our team. Congratulations Probation Officer Trainee Faith Capito. Faith earned her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Alfred State College in 2025. She will begin her training at the Peace Officer Academy through Alfred State College on May 18th. She expressed that she is excited to begin her career with the Probation Department and can't wait to get back from training and get started. Faith is a great asset and addition to the team.

Allegany County Probation launched a dedicated confidential email tip line to assist in offender accountability. The email tip line allows members of the community to report offender non-compliance which will ultimately enhance community safety. Email tips to [email protected]

Congratulation to Terry Rose on his promotion to Senior Probation Officer. Terry began his probation career with us in July of 2016 assisting with supervising the Pre-Trial Release program. His tenure with the department has encompassed a multitude of duties and responsible. Some of which ranged from working with the juvenile and adult population. He has always demonstrated professionalism and has had a willingness to take on any challenge thrown his way. His steadfast and poised demeanor and approach to his work have been invaluable to the department and his fellow officers. Please join us in congratulating Terry and wishing him the best in his new position.

We are pleased to announce that Tammera Kellogg has been promoted to Probation Officer Supervisor. Tami began her career with Probation in January of 2007. Since her start, she has juggled several different roles and has exceled in each of them. She possesses extensive knowledge across all areas of the department, including General Supervision, PINS Reform / School Based Supervision, specialized S*x Offender supervision, and preparing reports for local and County Courts. Most recently Tami has served as the Department's Pre-Trial Release Coordinator.

Her strong work ethic, professionalism and determination earned her the title of Senior Probation Officer in December of 2021. She has continued to be a tremendous asset to our department with her willingness to lend a helping hand and step in wherever she is needed. In addition, she has consistently demonstrated great leadership qualities over the years making her a great choice for Probation Supervisor.

We congratulate Tami on this well-deserved promotion and look forward to her continued success in her new role as Probation Supervisor.
