✈️ Charlotte Douglas International Airport continues to monitor and manage aircraft noise as part of ongoing airport operations, including flight path adjustments and preparations for the new fourth runway expected to open in late 2027.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed through the Noise Advisory Forum (NAF), a public community forum that provides updates on airport noise trends, operational considerations, and ongoing coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration regarding noise management efforts.

🗑 Waste Service Update ♻

The City of Belmont is transitioning to a new solid waste and recycling service provider, Waste Connections. Beginning Wednesday, June 17th, residents should leave their recycling carts at the curb after they are emptied by Waste Pro.

The new service provider will begin delivering both solid waste and recycling carts on June 22nd.

Additional information will be released regarding the collection of residents' solid waste carts.

⚠ Road Closure ⚠

Main Street will be closed this Friday (6/12) from 11am-12am (midnight) for Friday Night Live. This closure is from Glenway Street (Railroad) to Myrtle Street. Motorists may utilize Glenway Street, Hawthorne Street, and Mill Street to access public parking. Please use caution while traveling through the Downtown area Friday as pedestrian traffic will be increased during the concert.

⚠ No Parking - There will be no parking allowed in Main Street south of the railroad tracks. Vehicles left in the event area could be towed.
