🏙️Introducing the Center City Small Area Plan Update!🏙️

The Center City Small Area Plan is a guide for how downtown's core should grow, evolve, and stay true to its character over time. The plan helps the city, residents, property owners, business owners, developers, and elected officials understand the shared vision for Downtown Belmont.

Updating the Center City Small Area Plan will take approximately 12 months and the work will progress over four stages, with community input shaping every phase along the way:

- Stage 1: Discovery (September - December 2026)
- Stage 2: Design (January - March 2027)
- Stage 3: Development (April - May 2027)
- Stage 4: Adoption (June - August 2027)

🎉 Belmont Composts Turns 2!

Belmont Composts is celebrating its second birthday! This program was established by the Environmental Sustainability Board, and thanks to their vision, our community now has an easy way to keep organic waste out of the landfill.

In just two years, our community has diverted over 50,000 pounds of organic waste from the landfill and kept 30,000 cubic feet of methane out of the atmosphere. That's a huge impact — and it's all thanks to you! 🌱
