Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin County To Inspire all young people, especially those that need us the most, to realize their full potential as productive and responsible caring citizens.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin County (BGCAC) is a comprehensive youth services center developed to meet the increasing needs of young people in Austin County. The center is designed to help young people 6 – 18 have a safe, positive place where they can learn, access resources and develop the tools necessary to grow up to be self-reliant and caring adults; and develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders.

🚐 **Van Fundraiser Update: We’re Over Halfway There!**

Thanks to the generosity of our community, the Boys & Girls Club of Austin County has raised **$32,000 toward our $60,000 van fundraiser goal!** That means we are **53% funded** with **$28,000 left to go** to upgrade our 2006 Van.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has already contributed, shared, encouraged, and supported this effort. Every gift brings us closer to securing reliable transportation for the youth we serve.

A van may sound like transportation, but for our Club, it means **access and opportunity.**

This van will support youth across multiple programs, including:

✅ Afterschool Program transportationo needs
✅ Summer Program field trips and enrichment outings
✅ Basketball Program transportation needs
✅ Teen Program and Keystone leadership opportunities

Each day afterschool and throughout the summer, the Boys & Girls Club of Austin County serves approximately **125 youth daily**. Reliable transportation helps make sure our Club members can participate in safe, structured, and positive experiences that help them learn, grow, stay active, and stay connected.

For some families, transportation can be the difference between a child being able to participate or missing out. This van will help remove that barrier.

We are asking businesses, community partners, families, alumni, and friends of the Club to consider making a contribution to help us reach the finish line.

🚐 **Remaining Need:** $28,000

When you give, you are not just helping us buy a van. You are helping provide access to field trips, afterschool support, basketball opportunities, teen leadership experiences, and positive youth development programs.

✨Here's a look at what club members were doing on the first week of our summer program! Week 1 was our Fear Factor themed week and our club members tried different age appropriate activities. Each week is a different theme, filled with fun & age appropriate activities in every area of the club. Also, we have many fun and educational field trips planned for all age groups, so don't forget to sign up your child!

The youth of the Boys and Girls Club enjoyed a couple of fun filled afternoons of making and decorating horses out of pool noodles and decorating hats to replicate The Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes Races. They enjoyed running around the handmade track and winning prices. This afternoon exposed them to a world event that they have never heard of. 🏀 1st / 2nd Grade Austin County Bulls 🏀

Proud of this group! Our 1st / 2nd Grade Bulls finished the Hempstead Spring League with a 6-1 record and 2nd place finish. 🥈

This team battled all season long, showed toughness, and continued to grow every single week.

In the championship game, they fought hard until the very end and came up just 2 points short. Truthfully, this team deserved to be champions — that’s how hard they competed.

Couldn’t be more proud of their effort, their energy, and the way they represented our program.

The future is bright for this group. Keep working. 💪🏀

🏆 CHAMPIONS! – 5th / 6th Grade Austin County Bulls 🏆

Congratulations to our 5th / 6th Grade Austin County Bulls on finishing the Hempstead Spring League 8-0 and bringing home the championship!

This didn’t happen by accident. This group showed:
• Commitment
• Toughness
• Growth
• Teamwork

Game after game, they competed, learned, and continued to improve — and it showed when it mattered most.

Proud of the way this team represented themselves, their families, and our program. This is what development and consistency look like.
