The Altered State Spotlight Series begins with the curator behind the exhibition: Marzia Ransom.

An artist and instructor in the University of West Florida Department of Art & Design, Marzia guided students throughout the BFA Summer Studio as they developed their individual practices and worked toward cohesive bodies of work.

Built around daily studio practice, critique, conversation, and collaboration, the course created a space for artists to work side by side and advance their work through openness and honest exchange.

As curator of Altered State, Marzia brings that collective experience together in an exhibition reflecting the students’ growth, curiosity, and creative practice.

Coming to The 52 World this September. 🎨

Altered State: BFA Summer Studio Exhibition features work by emerging artists from the University of West Florida’s BFA Summer Studio.

Presented in partnership with the UWF Department of Art and Design and The Art Gallery UWF, Altered State brings the work of UWF artists to The 52 World for a month-long group exhibition.

Back to School Bash 2026! 🎒☀️
