Today we recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality.

THANK YOU to everyone who came to the 2026 TRIVIA BEE at Aslan Depot last week!

It was a fun event, with 20 teams competing in a competition that included three general rounds, one book round, and a round with Whatcom County trivia.

Congratulations to the team Sweet Home Alabama Hill, made up of Thomas Stanley, Rob Coiner, and Chris Thralls - they will have their team name inscribed on the TOTTEN TROPHY and get to keep it until next year.

A huge thanks also to the staff at Aslan Depot for making it a "Pint Night", where $1 of every pint sold went to the Whatcom Literacy Council.
