Heads up, riders! New schedules and new routes are coming Sunday, June 14, 2026. Here is what you need to know:

Schedule Changes:
We are updating times for Routes 9, 10, 14, and 190.
Route Replacements & New Service:
We are eliminating Routes 105, 107, 108, 196 & 197. These are being replaced by our brand-new Routes 5, 6, and 7!

The Whatcom Council of Governments (WCOG) is launching its five-year update to the Regional & Metropolitan Transportation Plan, which guides transportation goals, strategies, and funding investments for our region over the next 20 years.

Please visit the WCOG virtual open house to review the project overview and complete the brief public questionnaire. Your feedback directly impacts long-range planning decisions through 2050.

There will be no bus service on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day, including both fixed route and paratransit. The WTA offices will also be closed.

Regular service will resume on Tuesday.

Skip the Fairhaven parking scramble on Ski to Sea Sunday! On May 24, WTA is increasing service on the Route 1 to get you straight to the finish line at Marine Park.

Route 1 Race Day Service:
11:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Buses every 10 minutes
5:00 PM – 7:55 PM: Buses every 15 minutes

How to Connect:

- Take the bus from your neighborhood to Bellingham Station

- Park for free downtown at the Commercial Street Garage, Railroad Avenue Garage, Depot Market Square, or on-street spaces, then hop on the bus.

- Riding a bike? Use the free Ski to Sea bike valet at the Marine Park entrance.

We are beyond proud to announce that WTA Paratransit Operator Johnathan T. took home FIRST PLACE at the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) National Roadeo in Omaha, Nebraska!

He was also honored with the prestigious Otis Reed Jr. Award, naming him the CTAA National Driver of the Year.

We already knew Johnathan was a world-class professional, and now the whole country knows it too. Give him a thumbs-up if you see him out on the road!
