April 1st is just days away and we need YOUR help to make Library Giving Day a success at South Whatcom Library!

🎨 Face painter (bring your own supplies)
📦 Book Sale attendant: 4–6pm
🧹 Book Sale clean-up crew: 6–8pm

Libraries all across the country will celebrate Library Giving Day on Tuesday, April 1. You can help the Whatcom County Library Foundation reach its goal of raising $15,000 to help keep our local libraries resilient. Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 4:00pm @ South Whatcom Library

Cuddle up with a good book and read to a canine friend and volunteer from the Whatcom Humane Society. Choose your half-hour between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. Participants should be able to read with minimal help.

Space is limited; registration is required. To register, call the South Whatcom Library at 360-305-3632.

All dogs have completed basic obedience and/or participated in WHS education programs.

Poetry Collage Workshop
Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 1:00pm @ South Whatcom Library

Combine collage techniques with found poetry and make a piece of art to take home in this workshop with local collage artist and poet Crash Solo. You'll explore hands-on techniques to make collage, cut-up poems, blackout poetry, and poetry collages. Tools and materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring your own as well. Fun, casual, and relaxing!
