This is the official, City-maintained page for Bellevue, Kentucky. Bellevue, Kentucky, is a fourth-class city of and situated in the northernmost portion of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Incorporated on March 15, 1870, we are located on the banks of the Ohio River, across from Cincinnati, Ohio, in Campbell County. As of the 2010 census, our population was estimated to be about 5,955. Newport, Kentucky, is to our west; Dayton, Kentucky, is directly to our east; and Fort Thomas, Kentucky, touches on our southern border. We take enormous pride in our history and the historic charm of our quaint river city. The abundance of historic, unique architecture, as well as the many amenities our city boasts, make us an ideal choice for relocation of individuals and families, as well as businesses.

To support local recovery following recent severe weather and flooding, the NKY Chamber and the Duke Energy Foundation are partnering to offer NKY Small Business Relief Grants ranging from $2,500 to $10,000.

Through a $100,000 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation, relief funding will be distributed to eligible small businesses across Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties with 50 or fewer employees that are Duke Energy small business customers.

Funds may be used to reimburse past expenses or cover future needs.

Applications are open now through 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16. Eligible small business owners can submit applications online at NKYChamber.com/talent. Grant winners will be notified in late September 2026. You can read our full press release in the link below.

Traffic information from the Kentucky Department of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet about traveling near downtown Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky this weekend.

Headed out to join the fun at Riverfest, a Cincinnati Reds game or any of the other Labor Day festivities happening this holiday weekend in downtown Cincinnati and Covington? Make sure you know the best routes to get where you want to go. A few of the many ways to navigate around construction and access the riverfront are listed below.

SOUTHBOUND TO DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI AND COVINGTON

Traveling south on I-75 in Ohio, the options to get to downtown Cincinnati include:

Freeman Avenue (Exit 1F)
Seventh Street (Exit 1E)
Fifth Street (Exit 1C)
Continuing south across the Brent Spence Bridge to Covington, use:

Fifth Street/Crescent Avenue (Exit 192) or
Pike Street/12th Street/MLK Jr. Boulevard (Exit 191)
NORTHBOUND FROM KENTUCKY

Traveling north on I-71/75 in Kentucky, the best route to Covington is the Fifth Street exit (Exit 192).

Continuing north across the Brent Spence Bridge into Cincinnati, motorists may follow:

Fifth Street (Exit 1C) or
U.S. 50/West Sixth Street (Exit 1D) to the Linn Street exit
EASTBOUND

When traveling eastbound on U.S. 50/West Sixth Street, the best exits to reach downtown Cincinnati include:

Freeman Avenue to Mehring Way
Fifth Street
KEEP IN MIND FOR SUNDAY

If you’re driving to the riverfront to see Sunday night’s fireworks, remember that several major bridges will close at varying times throughout the day and evening.

-Purple People Bridge: Closes at 8 a.m.
-Roebling Suspension Bridge: Closes to vehicles and pedestrians at 6 p.m.
-Taylor Southgate Bridge: Closes to pedestrians using the east side at 9 a.m.; to vehicles at 6 p.m.; and to pedestrians using the west side at 7:30 p.m.
-Clay Wade Bailey Bridge: Closes to vehicles beginning at 6 p.m., and to pedestrians at 8 p.m.
-Daniel Carter Beard Bridge (I-471): Local access from Ohio closes at 7 p.m.; north and south ramps to KY 8 (Exit 5) close at 7:30 p.m.

Last Call to Register for the Senior Luncheon!

Bellevue residents ages 55 and older are invited to the City’s annual Senior Luncheon on Tuesday, September 8, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Carpenter Art Enamel Museum.

This year’s theme is “Talk Derby to Me!” and the afternoon will include lunch, themed entertainment, bingo, door prizes and plenty of time to visit with friends and neighbors.
