Happy Father’s Day from Olive Crest! 💙

Meet David and his daughter, Chalice. David courageously fled a situation of domestic violence to protect Chalice, who was just 11 months old at the time. Struggling to care for her due to her severe neglect and developmental delays, David turned to Olive Crest for help.

An Olive Crest Host Family stepped in, providing loving care for Chalice while David gained the skills and support he needed. During their three months together, Chalice thrived and David learned how to be the parent she needed. Thanks to the dedication of the Host Family and Olive Crest, Chalice returned to David full-time, healthy and happy.

Today, David and Chalice continue to flourish with the ongoing support of Olive Crest and the Host Family, who happily watch Chalice once a month. Their story is a testament to the strength of family and community support.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate all the fathers who go above and beyond for their children. Your love and dedication make a world of difference.

Congratulations to our 2024 GRADS! Olive Crest had the opportunity to celebrate 15 grads. It was a monumental day for the youth we get to serve!

During , we're honored to spotlight their invaluable contribution to the Olive Crest team. Their commitment proves that age is never a limit when it comes to making a difference! ✨

Shoutout to our incredible Community Involvement and Independent Living Skills Teams for hosting yet another successful career fair for our youth! 🎉 With 20 businesses on board and 17 different booths, the event was buzzing with opportunities. Two of our program's youths even got to showcase their jobs, inspiring others with their journey! One shared, "It feels so cool to be on the other side of the table and get to help other youth."

Even more heartwarming was seeing three youths on probation engage enthusiastically, connecting with every business. For these young adults that lack a strong support network, these events are lifelines. They provide opportunities to learn life skills and that help equip them for employment/independence and develop a support network, all essential for breaking the cycles of reoffending.

The fair wasn't just about jobs; it was about overcoming barriers. Many youths battling anxiety stepped up, honing their interview skills with each conversation. A huge thanks to all the businesses who made this possible, and to Seaside Church for hosting us! 🙌

This past weekend, our communities came together in support of our foster moms, hosting Mother's Day Tea events in 3 different cities. Thank you to everyone who helped to put on these events and celebrate our foster moms. 🌷☕

Thanks to the community's incredible support, the Power of One Luncheon was a phenomenal success, raising over $74,000! 🙌 Your generosity will directly fund vital programs that bring hope and healing to those in need.

Rob Fritton, Olive Crest Board Member, shared his journey with Lili, his foster daughter turned adopted child. Paul LaRose, our Executive Director, also shared eye-opening statistics that underscore the need for organizations like Olive Crest, and highlighted areas for our growth.

A heartfelt congratulations to this year's Champions of Hope: Spur Reply (Corporate Honoree), Encounter Church Mercer Island (Church Honoree), the Gall Family (Foster Family Honoree), and Jen Pettis (Volunteer Honoree). Your dedication and support inspire us all!
