Library Event Announcement!!!
Join us on September 15 for the library's first Novel Brew Author talk event. Author Erica Wright will join us to talk about her amazing new book, writing style, and ideas. Also, make sure to stop by Bellevue University's Bruin Blend and get The Crimson Exhibit a drink specially created just for Erica's presentation. The drink will also be sold before and after the event.

The Nature Passport Program will be starting up in September! During this event, you can obtain a passport and complete nature-themed tasks to earn stamps, with each stamp being an individual entry in a drawing for a gift card. If you are located away from the Bellevue University campus, you can still participate, as there are activities geared towards remote students. Tomorrow marks the beginning of International Bat Night, celebrated annually on the last weekend of August. Often misunderstood, bats play an important role in many ecosystems, providing pest control and seed dispersal while also acting as pollinators. August 26th is Women’s Equality Day, commemorating the ratification of the 19th Amendment that secured voting rights for women. Explore our library’s recent collections around the women’s suffrage, gender voting rights, and women’s rights overall. August 20th is International Medical Transporter’s Day for paramedics, EMTs, and air transporters. Our library has various health and medical databases that contain research on medical transports, such as: CINAHL Ultimate, MEDLINE Ultimate, PubMed, ProQuest Health & Medical Complete, ProQuest One Health & Nursing (new), and more. Explore how these workers travel through dangerous elements in order to save lives on time!

Come take a walk down Memory Lane at the Library today! Join us from 12-2 PM and explore Bellevue University through the decades as we celebrate 60 years. Each station is packed full of history, memorabilia from our archives, and fun games. You'll want to make sure you stop at all 6 tables to earn a full passport and then, before you leave, stop and recreate an iconic photo from the archives!

Get ready to flex your Bruin brain to learn more about our past and experience more of the people, places, and events that give us our Bellevue Bruin identity. Join us in the library on Wednesday, August 19 for this very special event where you can play games to complete your BRUIN Memory Lane Passport, take a cosplay photo re-creating the past, and show your gratitude to your coworkers by creating a personalized card.
