This was posted on the Bellevue Alliance this morning. The Bellevue Police Department believes in transparency so we wanted to clear up a few things in regards to this post.

At the moment only six of the eight cameras have been installed. Our system is not fully up and running, and officers DO NOT have access to the Flock system at this time. At the moment the Chief of Police is the only officer with access to the Flock data base.

The chief is able to search the data base for the installed cameras. to date only two searches have been conducted. One for a vehicle that was tied to a theft from One Stop Liquor, and one search was conducted for a suicidal subject that we received a welfare check call on.

Our data is set up to automatically delete after a 30 day period unless we request that it be stored longer for evidentiary purposes. Our data IS NOT automatically shared with federal agencies. Data request from federal agencies related to immigration investigations can only be shared with federal agencies through court order or search warrant.
