That means there are now 800 employers who see the value and potential in a candidate who has served their community through organizations like AmeriCorps. We are thrilled to announce the addition of Ashley Po***ck to our team as our new Field Coordinator! Ashley brings a wealth of academic and professional experience, holding a BA in History from McKendree University and an MA in History from Harvard University.

In her new role, Ashley will provide vital support to our AmeriCorps members to make a positive impact in the Belleville community. Ashley has a diverse background including teaching, academic advising, event planning, social media management, and political activism. Additionally, Ashley has a strong commitment to civic engagement, which aligns perfectly with the AmeriCorps mission.

Ashley's work is guided by the core Jewish principle of Tikkun Olam, which emphasizes responsibility to actively contribute to social justice and compassion for the betterment of society. She is eager to collaborate with community members and help our AmeriCorps members drive meaningful change and improvement in our community.

We look forward to Ashley's contributions and are excited to have her on board.

What a great day! These civic-minded citizens “walk the walk”! As part of our celebration, these volunteers, in conjunction with the City of Belleville, enjoyed a day of community service to in Belleville.

Today at Belleville’s Mt Hope Cemetery, over 40 civic-minded volunteers served their community by cleaning-up debris, picking-up litter, and cleaning tombstones at this landmark cemetery! The cemetery really needed a little TLC after last night’s storms, and these citizens really stepped-up!

A BIG AMERICORPS THANK YOU to all of the fantastic people and their organizations who committed to our community: the active military personnel and their families of Scott Air Force Base; students from District 201’s National & English Honor Societies; civic-minded citizens; citizens with loved ones at Mt Hope; the Mighty Members & Amazing Alums of Belleville AmeriCorps; Grill-Master Jason Poole and the City of Belleville’s Public Works Department; and our beautiful mascot, Mazey the Dog—who herded everyone into place!
