CASA of Southwestern Illinois Casa of Southwestern Illinois provides a powerful voice and meaningful connection for children who may experience abuse, neglect and abandonment.

Our Mission

To recruit, train, supervise, and support volunteers who advocate for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect and are involved in the judicial systems of St. Clair, Madison, Monroe, Randolph, or Bond County—working to reduce physical, emotional, and social harm.

Have you heard of CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteers? They’re like superheroes who step in to help children in foster care. It’s a really important job that can make a big difference in a child’s life. Children who have a CASA volunteer by their side are more likely to do well in school and pass their classes.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) volunteers are often the one stable presence in a child's life while they are in the foster care system. Volunteering just 5 hours a month can make a big difference for children this school year.

Volunteers must be 21+ and have a clean background check. No legal or prior experience is needed, as training is provided.
