This week, our department participated in two days of hands-on vehicle extrication training.
Day 1 focused on advanced techniques, using all of our specialized tools to practice safely removing trapped victims from vehicles.
On Day 2, we went back to the basics—relying solely on hand tools to challenge ourselves and reinforce fundamental skills.

This training was a valuable opportunity to refine our techniques, build confidence, and strengthen teamwork.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this training possible. And a big thank you to J&T Crova Towing for donating the vehicles for us to practice! We are so proud to serve this community!i

The Belleville Fire Department expresses our sincere condolences and comfort to the firefighter's family and also to our brothers and sisters at Romulus Fire Department during this difficult time.

It is with profound sadness that the Romulus Fire Department announces the off-duty passing of one of our own Luke Joyce.

Today, we mourn the loss of a beloved member of our fire family — a dedicated firefighter who served the City of Romulus with honor, bravery, and compassion. Their sudden passing leaves a tremendous void in our department and in the lives of all who knew him.

We extend our deepest condolences to the firefighter’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Please respect the family’s privacy as they navigate this loss. We will share more details as they become available.

As we reflect on his commitment to the safety and service of others, we ask our community to join us in honoring their memory and legacy.
