Family Mystery School gathering - for those looking for meaningful connection with nature, divinity, and each other.

This is a free event (donations are welcome) to build loving community - understanding that we are all God's children and striving to share our talents and hearts with each other.

We will begin with an opening circle, followed by a story that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

We will then walk the trails of Crossing Hedgerows and do some wildcrafting together, some of which you will be able to take home. Wildcrafting (also known as foraging, especially in North America) is the practice of harvesting plants from their natural, or 'wild' habitat, primarily for food or medicinal purposes.

This will be followed by a craft time making corn husk dolls together.

We will end with a potluck for anyone who wishes to stay and share a meal together. Please bring a dish to pass if you would like to participate.

The suggested donation is $25 per person + $5 for each extra person in a family. ($20 for members of our Patreon)

Aronia berry is a native shrub with edible berries that we grow at the sanctuary. We freeze the berries and use them in smoothies and baked goods. 🫐 They can also be made into jams, jellies, and juice.

At our next Family Mystery School this Saturday, we’ll be sampling a dish made with aronia berries and you’ll have an opportunity to harvest a few to take home!

These photos were taken a few days ago when most of them weren’t quite ripe yet, but they are now turning blue and ready for harvest! 😋

The fairy sits guarding the stone which marks the summer solstice on our big stone circle sky clock. Soon it will be August 1st as we move to the cross quarter stone halfway between summer solstice and autumn equinox. What do the patterns and cycles of the heavens reveal to us?
