We will be hosting a measles (MMR) vaccination clinic in our social hall sponsored by the PA Department of Health on September 22. This clinic will provide free measles (MMR) vaccine to any person in attendance. You are welcome to walk in without an appointment, although it is preferred that you call to schedule in advance.

OPERATION HOMETOWN II: Centre and Clinton Counties, we need YOU to come and help homeowners recover from the recent flooding disaster. Starting TOMORROW, we will be hosting volunteer days starting at 8:30am every day except for Sunday. Volunteers can meet at Big Woods Bible Church in Lock Haven to get their assignments for the day. If anyone experienced flood damage from the September 2nd and 3rd storms, please pop over to the Beech Creek/Blanchard Fire Company at 38 Locust Street, Beech Creek to report your damage before 4PM today. In some cases, you may be eligible for gift cards or PA Disaster Relief funding. There are several Centre County Government Departments here to assist you.

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the first responders, emergency personnel, service members, and everyday citizens who stepped forward in a time of unimaginable tragedy.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember those we lost, those who responded, and the families whose lives were forever changed.

May we always carry forward the courage, compassion, unity, and service shown on that day.

Commissioner Dershem stopped by the Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) today, where he visited with county staff, local residents, and municipal officials.

We appreciate Commissioner Dershem taking the time to connect with those impacted by the recent severe weather and with the agencies and officials working together to support our communities during the recovery process.

We’re hearing from residents that the recent flooding has unfortunately left some appliances damaged and unusable.

If you have flood-damaged appliances or other scrap metal that you need to dispose of, CCRRA accepts scrap metal and appliances FREE OF CHARGE!

♻Accepted items include refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, water heaters and more.

One important reminder: If you’re bringing in a refrigerator or freezer, please make sure it is completely emptied before bringing it to CCRRA.
