This site not only provides information to the community at large, it is client focused and links unhoused individuals to real time data regarding bed availability, and expectations at intake.

Peak of Hope Shelter is a residential shelter program in Logan County, Ohio. Call or text (937) 935-4292 any time; intake is Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.

Six Hundred Downtown owner, Brittney Saxton, approached the Peak of Hope Shelter after hearing about the evacuation of our women and families and simply asked, “What can I do to help?”

From there, she created her “Pizza for a Purpose” campaign, where 10% of all Wednesday sales are donated to the Peak of Hope Relief fund - a fund specifically designed to provide single women and families with children (who engage with our outreach program) with alternatives to temporary shelter.

Today, Brittney generously donated ✨$3,287.17✨ to this fund!

We are incredibly thankful to Brittany and her team for their support!! ❤️

The Peak of Hope has utilized 107 S. Madriver for 20+ years. Well over 1000 people have sought safety within these walls and found their way to a fruitful new beginning. ❤️

Angela, a former shelter guest, helps us say goodbye to the building that women and families once used as their temporary home.

While it’s been absolutely devastating not been able to serve women and children since June 5, relief and hope is on the horizon.

We cannot wait to share with you, what we are on the cusp of accomplishing.🙌

It’s United Way of Logan County, Ohio Community Care Day and this amazing group of volunteers from NX Automotive Logistics USA, Inc spent so much of their time chipping away at our “honey do” list!

We are incredibly thankful to our local, United Way for their efforts towards making Logan County a better place!

Peak of Hope Shelter board member, Amy Lynn, spent time in our men’s shelter today teaching them how to make meals!

This type of dedication and engagement with our shelter guests is vital for their path to self-sufficiency!

The youth of our community are the future of our community 🙌

Over the last 3 years, the Peak of Hope has been working to make the very existence of the shelter known to the people of Logan County. Most are surprised to hear, the shelter has been operating here since 2003!

The fact that we have youth within our community who know of the shelter’s existence is in itself triumphant! Recognizing the plight of others outside of our own existence is a beautiful attribute to carry into adulthood.

Pictured below👇, Cody, Piper and Willow Zell working their lemonade stand in an effort to raise funds for the shelter! Today, they met with POH Director, Sarah Lewis to provide their donation and tour the men’s shelter.

Their hard work resulted in a donation of $116.00!

The community response to the closure of our women and family shelter has been heart warming. We’ve been fortunate enough to have two, beloved local businesses contribute their time and their craft towards the achievement of monetary donations.

The The Fun Company, home of Education Station NeeDoh raffle basket has seen a significant response - more than we could’ve ever imagined!

The collaboration with Six Hundred Downtown and their Pizza for a Cause Campaign gives us hope that temporary solutions are on the horizon!

In an effort to provide temporary shelter for Logan County’s unhoused women and children, we have developed a Peak of Hope Relief Fund. 100% of all donations for this fund will be used to pay for temporary shelter services such as hotel stays, campground reservations etc.

Meet Jax and his friend Ash!

Yesterday, these two boys were walking around Downtown Bellefontaine, looking for yards to mow. I asked them if they could help with the currently closed, women and family shelter property. They did not hesitate to walk their mower to Madriver and put in some real work!
