Logan County Engineer's Office Responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of Logan County's transportation system, including 371.85 miles of roadway, and 295 bridges.

This includes plowing snow, fixing potholes, paving, mowing, repairing & replacing bridges and maintaining tax maps.

Township Road 30-0.80 bridge update: Our Bridge Department formed and poured the east abutment a few weeks ago and this past Friday 65-foot precast concrete beams were set. Beams were fabricated and installed by Prestress Services and crane services were performed by Capital City Crane. Our goal is to have the road opened by June 2.

Construction updates can now be viewed on an interactive map by going to our website and clicking on ‘Construction Updates’. The construction cone symbols show where projects are happening and if you click on a construction cone symbol, you’ll see details on the type of work that is being performed at that location, the estimated project length, and an option to click on a link that includes the entire press release associated with said project. It’s our hope this interactive map provides a quick way for roadway users to check and see if any of our construction projects will impact you. Please understand that all of our projects are weather-dependent, and issues could arise during each project that extends the project’s duration and thus extends the length that the roadway is closed or restricted.

We just placed flashing beacons on our deer signs to bring increased awareness to the highest deer collision segments on our county roads because we are entering our county’s peak deer collision period. October, November and December account for nearly 43% of deer collisions for the entire year. Please be extra careful and attentive while driving these next few months!

Logan County Engineer's Office is hiring for a full-time entry-level Survey Technician 1 with an opportunity for career advancement. For this position, we are looking for candidates who are at least 18 years of age; have a valid State of Ohio driver's license; enjoy math and the outdoors; possess computer skills, including advanced abilities with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of CADD is desired but not a requirement. We will provide all training. Starting pay is $13-$15 per hour, with increases as defined milestones, are met.

Duties include operating all surveying equipment, including a total station; performing fieldwork for land surveying, including holding level or stadia rod at designated points to assist in determining elevations and laying out stakes for mapmaking, construction, land, and other surveys; research survey evidence, maps, deeds, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys; performs software-driven and manual numerical calculations and uses said calculations to develop information needed for surveying projects; locate survey points; cuts and clears brush and trees from the line of survey. In addition, perform other duties, and tasks the County Engineer and Engineering Staff assign.
