🔥 Winning Team Wednesday 🔥

This week, we're proud to recognize David Bohling, one of the rising stars in our Lima, Ohio shop!

David was a member of our very first apprenticeship class and has officially entered his second year in the program. Recently, he reached another major milestone by graduating from high school, and we were excited to celebrate the occasion with a little cake and recognition from the team!

Since joining the apprenticeship program, David has shown a strong commitment to learning and developing his skills. Every day, he's gaining valuable hands-on experience, building his technical knowledge, and taking steps toward becoming a highly skilled technician.

David is also working hard to build up his tool collection and is preparing to compete in our company-wide technician competition, a great opportunity to challenge himself and showcase how far he's come.

It's exciting to watch David grow both personally and professionally. His dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are exactly what make our apprenticeship program successful.

Saying hello from Atlanta! ☀️👋 Richiona and Jacob are having a great time at the SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference this week. Richiona is competing in prepared speech and has made it through to the second round, and Jacob is representing SkillsUSA Ohio as a state officer. 🎉 We're so proud of both of you!

Camp Week! 🎉 We were excited to offer DiscoverU: Career Summer Camp for Champaign County students this week as they explored careers in media, business, and woodworking.

Throughout the week, students created their own food trucks, crafted flower boxes, and produced videos and photo collages. We loved getting to know these students and seeing their creativity and problem-solving skills in action!

We know that guy! Welding Instructor Mark Barger was recently recognized during a Cincinnati Reds game for his service in the U.S. Air Force. We’re incredibly proud to have Mr. Barger as part of the OHP team, where he continues to make an impact by helping prepare the next generation of students for success. This afternoon, four of our students were recognized as recipients of the Logan County Career Launch Grant, receiving $1,000 each to help “launch” their careers after graduation. Students recognized included:

Naaman Stidham, Construction Trades, West Liberty-Salem, employed with Stidham’s Painting & Roofing.

Gage Ervin, Engineering Academy, Riverside, employed with PowerBuilt Material Handling Solutions LLC.

Utah Coleman, Heavy Equipment Operations, Benjamin Logan, employed with Neer's Sand And Gravel

Maddy Hamm, Health Careers Academy, Benjamin Logan, employed with Community Health & Wellness Partners.

Students were celebrated during a recognition event hosted by the Logan County Chamber of Commerce and Midwest Regional ESC alongside local and state elected officials, including Rep. Tim Barhorst (Ohio House District 85 Representative), Keneddie Goubeaux (Senator Susan Manchester's Office), Dave Crissman (Bellefontaine Mayor), and Mike Yoder (County Commissioner).
