Good Evening Everyone:
I pray you and your family are safe and healthy!

Fridays are the best day of the week because, I get to go out to the streets lol!
Last Friday, Director of Public Works, Jeff Ross, Code Enforcer, Felecia Bishop and I started with Director Ross’s team cleaning up items that had been dumped from a resident. Major Warren Williss could not accompany us because, our Police Department are three men short.

We checked on residence who had received letters concerning code violations to see if they had made efforts towards correcting them, some had. Others were given an extension, some will receive citations to appear in court!

I appreciate the efforts of everyone who is assisting us to Rebrand, Rebuild, and Revitalize our “Great City.” Your efforts are not unnoticed!

We ended our day by having lunch at another place I’ve never been lol, “Crown Candy.” The special turkey sandwich, and caramel shake was delicious.

Next Friday I’ll be spending time with the Administrative Staff. They haven’t told me where we’re going lol.

Good Morning Everyone:
I pray you had a peaceful and restful sleep!

Here’s an update, from Director, Ross, concerning the condition of our streets. Please be careful when traveling through these corridor‘s and others because there’s a possibility that some tree limbs may have been weakened by the storm, and may fall.

“We opened Bellefontaine, CoburgLands and Odessa.”

“We were called back in at 1:40am and are just now headed back to shop. Cleared another 4 roads. Mead, CoburgLands, Addison and Ewell. All but 1 of those 4 had trees smashed on top of cars.”

LET’S PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER SAFETY!

Good Evening Everyone:
I pray you and your family are safe and healthy and have weathered through the storm.

We’ve had torrential rains, high winds and, hail for the last couple of days. Some of our fellow citizens have suffered damage to their homes. We had several streets that were blocked but, our fantastic Public Works Department have been out clearing the way for our first responders.

Please let Director, Jeff Ross and his team know how much we appreciate them and their dedication to keeping our streets safe and clear from debris.

Ameren is doing their best to repair down lines, please be careful when walking or driving near down powerlines they still may be live! Take care of your outdoor pets and make sure they are safe.

We are working as a team to restore power and clear debris. Our Public Works Department will be picking up Branches for the next 7 to 10 days. If you need assistance, you can call City Hall at 314-867-0076. PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH THEM!

Good Morning Everybody:
I pray you had a successful day!

I’m a few days late, sharing pictures from our grand reopening of our Recreation Center. Our Director, Jimmy Kirincich, Martha Snead and their staffs did a magnificent job!

Also, we want to thank Missouri State Senator Angela Mosley, Missouri State, Representative, Marlene Terry, former North County Councilwoman, Rochelle Walton-Gray, and Venus Martz, Executive Director for the North County Chamber of Commerce and her team for being present, and supplying the ribbon, scissors, and cannon balls full of confetti. Lol!

I am encouraging all residents to apply for your citizens ID and membership to the Recreation Center. We really do have fantastic amenities in our city.; an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, weight room, racquetball courts, and a plethora of programs for the entire family.

We also have a partnership with Lincoln University Cooperative Extension Urban Center to offer programs, chess, sewing, photography, African dance, yoga, personal gardening, coding etc.

You can call the Rec. Center at 867-0700 for more information.

Hello Everybody:
I pray you and your families are safe and healthy!

Mrs. Felecia Bishop, our Code, Enforcer, Mr. Jeff Ross, Director of Public Works, and Major Warren Williss and I had another successful Friday last week!

We were able to spend three hours 8:00 a.m -11:00 a.m. out in the community sharing with homeowners and renters what is needed to improve their homes and property.

For our hard work, they took me to another place I’ve never been lol, Pirrone’s Pizza!

I also spent three hours, 1:00 PM -4:00 PM with Officer Landman. Officer Landman patrols, our first quadrant. Several citizens knew him and waved as we went by. We even stopped and talked with some of them.

The children were so excited to see the inside of a police car, hear the siren and see the flashing lights! Fridays are starting to be my best days at work!

Good Morning Everyone:
I pray you had a peaceful and restful sleep!

I NEED YOUR HELP!

I’m informing you that I will not be able to keep my commitment to hire a City Administrator.

The majority of the Board of Alderman have decided to remove the salary for your City Administrator from the 2023-2024 budget!

In order for our government to operate, proficiently a City Administrator is needed! All of our departments, with the exception of the Mayor, who is the Chief Administrator, has an Administrative Assistant.

Please look at the job description and if there’s an area you can assist by volunteering, call City Hall at 314-867-0076.

https://ecode360.com/documents/BE3235/public/485075581.pdf

Also, contact your alderman and encourage them not to remove the salary, and support my decision to appoint a City Administrator.

https://www.cityofbn.com/city-officials/aldermen/ward-3

https://www.cityofbn.com/city-officials/aldermen/fourth-ward-aldermen

We will continue to work towards REBUILDING,
REVITALIZING, and REBRANDING our “GREAT CITY.”

I’m sharing my audio tape from Thursday’s Board of Alderman meeting.
