⚠️ Water Shortage Order EXTENDED:

The Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) has extended the “Extreme” Water Shortage Order for Pinellas County and surrounding areas through October 1, 2026.

Watering hours are reduced to 12am - 4am or 8pm - 11:59pm. Properties less than one acre in size may only use one of these windows. Properties one acre or larger can use both windows. Watering in Belleair is permitted on the following days:

If your house number ends in-
✅0 or 1 - Monday only
✅2 or 3 - Tuesday only
✅4 or 5 - Wednesday only
✅6 or 7 - Thursday only
✅8 or 9 (or no discernable address) - Friday only

🚔 Keeping Belleair’s roads safe! 🚔

Through our continued partnership with FDOT’s Enhanced Law Enforcement Engagement (ELEE) program, the Belleair Police Department conducted 402 traffic enforcement operations and dedicated more than 2,439 hours to traffic safety initiatives between June 2025 and February 2026.

Thanks to the hard work of our officers, BPD was awarded approximately $40,000 in grant-funded traffic safety equipment, including a variable message speed trailer, radar units, traffic cones, safety lighting, and more.

As Chief Doyle noted, "Because of the efforts and hard work of our Officers, Belleair residents enjoy some of the safest roadways in Pinellas County. The addition of this awarded safety equipment will continue to enhance our traffic safety efforts and helps us to keep our community safe and informed."

Today is the day.

This evening, we gather for the 30th Annual John Morroni Law Enforcement & First Responder Appreciation Dinner — a celebration of bravery, service, sacrifice, and life.

Today also marks the 33rd anniversary of the passing of Belleair Police Officer Jeffery W. Tackett, whose line-of-duty death inspired John Morroni to begin this meaningful tradition of honoring Pinellas County’s law enforcement officers and first responders.

What began from heartbreak has become a legacy of gratitude.

Tonight, we remember Officer Tackett.
We honor this year’s honorees.
And we celebrate the men and women who answer the call every day to protect and serve our community.

We look forward to an unforgettable evening of remembrance, recognition, and unity.
