Old Stone House Old Stone House The Old Stone House (Samuel Shrewsbury Sr. Mansion) is the only one of its kind in the valley.

Built in 1800-1810 from sandstone cut from the nearby hillside. The sandstone walls are 22 inches thick at the bottom and 18 inches thick at the top. The house was built on the original 704 acres, extending westward to Burning Spring and east ward to Witcher Bridge. The hand hewn walnut wood on the interior walls, cupboards, and woodwork came from a surrounding walnut grove. Let our guides take yo
